New Visiting Fellow from Australia: Terry MacDonald

Terry MacDonald of Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, is a new Visiting Fellow at Justitia Amplificata. Terry does research on the problems of normativity in international political theory, and her project at Justitia Amplificata focuses on different aspects of "Global Political Justice and Legitimacy".

She will stay at JA for four weeks. During her stay, she will cooperate closely with Dr. Miriam Ronzoni, and with other fellows of JA – among them fellow countryman Dr. Peter Balint from the University of New South Wales. She will also edit a volume on "Global Political Justice", and will work on several papers, among them one on "Public Power and Political Justice in Global Economic Institutions" and one on "The Idea of Institutional Legitimacy".

Terry MacDonald was a student at the University of Melbourne and at Oxford University where she also received her PhD. Since 2007, she has been teaching Political Theory at Monash University, one of the leading Australian Universities. Her book "Global Stakeholder Democracy: Power and Representation Beyond Liberal States" was published by Oxford University Press in 2008.
